2.1 Travel » Packing for your trip

Laptop

We expect that all participants will be bringing a personal laptop. Please let us know if you are not.
 

Attire

SFI has no specific dress code.
Meeting rooms are kept at cooler temperatures to accommoadate large groups. Please bring a sweater or jacket to stay comfortable.
Days are warm and nights are chilly. Afternoon thunderstorms are possible.
Layering is recommended due to changes in temperature, both indoors and outdoors.

Items that might be useful:

  • a few comfortable masks (in case covid mandates are reimposed)
  • lipbalm & eye-drops (for the dry climate)
  • sunscreen & sunglasses
  • hat
  • fleece, sweatshirt or sweater
  • rain jacket or umbrella
  • layers that you can put on or take off as the temperature changes
  • good walking shoes for excursions
  • clock and/or anything else you might want for your personal comfort in your room
  • noise-cancelling headphones, earplugs and/or sleeping masks
  • power converters and/or adapters to plug international electronics into the U.S. 120V outlets
