Our popular introduction to the field of nonlinear dynamics, Nonlinear Dynamics: Mathematical and Computational Approaches, has joined our catalogue of fully-asynchronous and always-available courses. This course provides a broad introduction to the field of nonlinear dynamics, focusing on the mathematical and computational tools important in the study of chaotic systems and is aimed at students who have had at least one semester of college-level calculus and physics, and who can program in at least one high-level language.

Graduate Workshop in Computational Social Science Modeling and Complexity

Dates: June 22, 2025 - July 4, 2025

The Graduate Workshop in Computational Social Science Modeling and Complexity brings together a group of advanced Ph.D. students and a small faculty for an intensive two-week study of how to apply tools and approaches from complex systems and computation to questions in the social sciences. The Workshop convenes in-person in Santa Fe, New Mexico and consists of seminars, independent research, formal and informal discussions, and a hackathon-style challenge.

Complexity Global School for Emerging Political Economies

Dates: July 28, 2025 - August 8, 2025

The Complexity Global School for Emerging Political Economies is an intensive, 12-day program that provides exposure to the latest complex methods, models, and frameworks for thinking about economics and governance. CGS will also provide an opportunity to collaborate on an international group project developing an idea of your interest. This program will consist of about 60 students from across the globe. Students residing or working in Latin America are strongly encouraged to apply.
