This unit introduces the Open Science tutorial, its contents and approach. By the end of this unit, learners should be

(1) familiar with several definitions of Open Science,

(2) know of the different schools of Open Science,

(3) know which practices fall under the umbrella of Open Science, and

(4) understand the ‘Buffet’ approach to Open Science.
