Are the lectures already closed today at August 29, PST, since I can't access them anymore? Thanks.

By when will our final model be graded? And when will we receive our certificates?

The peer review deadline is August 25, certificates will be issued at the end of the course.

I found an error in the activity after I had sent it and the deadline had passed. That was sad.

I just read the sci-fi novel PREY by Michael Critchton.

It's about nanoparticles that escape from a lab. They are programmed using Agent Based Modeling, so it's the perfect book to read in conjunction with this ABM course.

I have submitted the document describing my model as part of the first assignment. However, if time permits during the final assignment, I would like to take it a step further and extend the model's complexity to account for more diverse and complex situations. May I proceed with this extension? Any feedback or guidance would be appreciated.

Of course, you may extend the model beyond what you submitted.

Hi, I am not able to see the link for peer review under the My Progress tab. Is it yet to be released or some issue with my account?

If you click on "Model Design Assignment" in My Progress, it will bring you to the peer review page.

Hi,

I get an error while building my model: "You can't use ASSIGN-COLOR in an observer context, because ASSIGN-COLOR is turtle/link only". Can someone point me to the right resource to help debug this?

Best regards,
Ashish

Maybe you need to put something like "ask turtles [ blablabla color blablabla]".

Hi
I haven't yet caught up on the slides as I was sick, so I have yet to learn and understand how to extend and create a model. The first assignment is basically a copy of the Google form we submitted earlier. Is that all we are supposed to do, along with the peer reviews?

Yes, the first assignment is a description of your model.

We were asked to fill out google forms (for example here: https://www.complexityexplorer.org/courses/183-introduction-to-agent-based-modeling/segments/18118) but they just sort of disappear. Is there a way to retrieve these things?

You should have received a copy of your answers on your email. If you didn't, but provided your email, I can try to find it manually - please let me know. K.

No there is no other email, and I do get the weekly announcements as well as notifications your responses here. In any event nothing important was lost, I will press on :)
