1.2 SFI Guidelines and Policies » COVID-19 Vaccination & Testing
COVID-19
Full vaccination against COVID-19, or a documented medical exemption, is required to participate in SFI's 2023 Undergraduate Complexity Research (UCR) program. While vaccine availability varies globally, it is expected that you have obtained the recommended vaccination regimen in your local municipality (country, region, city) and as appropriate to the particular vaccine you received.
Rapid test upon arrival
Everyone will be asked to perform a COVID-19 rapid (antigen) test upon arrival in Santa Fe and possibly at various times during the program. You will report your results truthfully, in a timely manner, to protect the other participants in the program. In all cases, tests will be provided to you at no cost.
Depending on the state of COVID-19 at the time of the program, it may be necessary to wear personal protective face masks for some or all indoor events and/or in shared living spaces. Such masking mandates may be decided at short notice and/or by authorities outside of the program itself. It is expected that all participants will comply with any mask mandates that exist or are imposed.
Should you test positive for COVID-19 either prior to your departure to Santa Fe or during your stay, you will be welcome to participate remotely while you quarantine for the amount of time specified by the applicable local health authority. During remote participation, you will join workshops, seminars and discussions via Zoom, and likewise work with your project group members on Zoom, Discord, and/or other communication channels.
