The Santa Fe Institute is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Because of the terrain, cell phone coverage may be spotty, inconsistent, or unavailable.

The IAIA rooms have WiFi. VOIP services such as Skype may encounter connection issues.
There is WiFi access across the IAIA campus.
You must bring with you any power converters or plug adapters to plug your computer into the 120V outlets in the United States. We do not supply foreign power converters.
WiFi – network: “Student”, password: taos5372
Please only connect to the "Student" network.

Smoking

IAIA does not allow smoking inside any of the buildings. Move away from entry ways when you smoke.

Santa Fe Institute does not allow smoking on its grounds. You would need to walk or drive to the base of the driveway to smoke.

Fire dangers are always high in Santa Fe due to the extremely dry climate. Please be careful and be sure to extinguish and pick up any cigarette butts anywhere you smoke.
