3.1 Housing » Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA)
Accommodations
Housing is available from Sunday, June 11, at 8AM, through Friday morning, July 7, at 10AM. Participants who wish to arrive before or stay after these dates must arrange for other accommodations on their own.
CSSS participants are assigned private, en suite rooms.
For safety and contractual reasons you may not have overnight guests. We can recommend local hotels or other accommodations for your guests.

Mail will be delivered to the CSSS office each weekday. The office is located adjacent to the Commons (the room we will be meeting in for lectures). You may pick your mail up there.
Keys and ID Cards are Your Responsibility
If you lose an item, you will be charged to replace it.
If you are locked out of your room, please contact the Housing Office at 505.424.5802. After hours, please contact Campus Security by calling 505.702.4274 (cell phone) or 505.424.5800 (landline).
Cost of missing or lost items:
- ID Cards - $10 (for cafeteria and fitness center)
- Room key - $25
- Prox card - $20 (for access to Residence Center)
Please be sure to turn in all these items at the end of the program.
Linen & Laundry
Clean sheets and towels are provided, as well as a pillow and blanket.
Four washers and dryers are available on each floor. There is a QR code to scan or an app to download if you would like to use a phone to pay. The machines also accept quarters.
Linens will be exchanged at the halfway point of CSSS. Dates to be determined.
Athletic Facilities
All students staying on campus will have free access to IAIA's Performance Arts & Fitness Center using your IAIA ID/meal card.

Phone and Internet Access
There are no telephones provided on campus. Please plan to bring your cell phone.
IAIA is located in an open area of Santa Fe and generally has good cell phone coverage.
The Santa Fe Institute is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Because of the terrain, cell phone coverage may be spotty, inconsistent, or unavailable.
The IAIA rooms have WiFi. VOIP services such as Skype may encounter connection issues.
There is WiFi access across the IAIA campus.
You must bring with you any power converters or plug adapters to plug your computer into the 120V outlets in the United States. We do not supply foreign power converters.

Smoking
IAIA does not allow smoking inside any of the buildings. Move away from entry ways when you smoke.
Santa Fe Institute does not allow smoking on its grounds. You would need to walk or drive to the base of the driveway to smoke.
Fire dangers are always high in Santa Fe due to the extremely dry climate. Please be careful and be sure to extinguish and pick up any cigarette butts anywhere you smoke.
