2.1 Travel » Flights & Ground Transport

The closest international airport to Santa Fe is the Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ), approximately 90 minutes from Santa Fe by Groome Shuttle. You may also look for flights to the Santa Fe Airport (SAF), though this is often a more expensive and less convenient option.

If you are traveling far, you may want to arrive on Saturday. You can stay at an inexpensive hotel near the airport and catch a shuttle to Santa Fe on Sunday morning. If you are traveling from sea level, a night at 5,300ft (1600m) can be helpful for adjusting to high altitude before coming to Santa Fe at 7,200ft (2200m).

Groome Transportation (formerly Sandia Shuttle -- ABQ to Santa Fe locations)

Sunday, June 11

If you are riding the Groome Transportation Shuttle from the Albuquerque airport please ask the driver to drop you off at the 599 RailRunner Station. You may want to consider sharing a ride with other CSSS students on the Groome shuttle.

We will have shuttles available to pick participants up from this stop and take them to IAIA on Sunday, 11AM-430PM. If you arrive to the 599 RailRunner Station outside of our shuttle times, you can order a Lyft/Uber from this stop to get to IAIA.

From the Santa Fe Airport (SAF) you can order a Lyft/Uber directly to IAIA.

Check-in is available starting from 8AM.
